Service Flaps for Motorhomes and Caravans
The range of MEKUWA flap systems are produced in the highest quality. Long service life thanks to the use of high-quality materials. Produced as lightweight aluminium constructions, yet robust and easy to use. They can be divided several times in both horizontal and vertical direction.
Simple inserts such as mounting plates for door retainers, gas springs, etc. as well as complete installation frames for an integrated flap or an integrated window can easily be included in the flaps.
The geometry of the flaps can be adapted precisely to the vehicle conditions. Adjustments to underfloors which are recessed inwards or bevels resulting from the wheel arches are unproblematic and can also be realised for smaller quantities.
In order to match vehicle conditions in the best possible way, all flaps can be designed by specifying maximum external dimensions, usable clearance dimensions or also in accordance with industry-standard side wall cut-out specifications.
At customer request, all technically suitable locking and closing systems available on the market can be provided. With our special mounting accessories, the flaps can be individually adapted to the respective vehicle or body wall thickness.
We can either produce and deliver complete, ready-to-install flaps or only pre-assembled aluminium frames to match an existing original sidewall cut-out.
Since the flap profiles are L-profiles with serrated internal profile, it is very easy to process side wall cut-outs of different thicknesses using mere adhesive technology.
For optically perfect edges, there are several plastic cover profiles (hammer-in keder), also with serrated profiles, available in different heights. This ensures optimum adjustment to the cut-out thickness.
For increased protection against road salt and other aggressive environmental influences (e.g. sea air), all flaps can also be manufactured with pre-anodised and subsequently coated aluminium profiles.
For very special applications, in addition to the basic systems listed below further Systems and Model Technologies are available for flap construction.
