MEKUWA is known for its unique customer orientation, support and advice. Design and construction of doors, flaps, windows and special parts are our core competence.
We produce automotive doors, flaps and windows exclusively for motorhomes and caravans, trailers, pick-ups, shelters, emergency, ambulance and sales vehicles.
In addition, we manufacture positioners and stays for service flaps, hinged windows and frames. Our portfolio also includes special parts such as door sill panels, lamp rings, guide rails, safety edges and many more.
All versions in aluminium system technology, lightweight construction, recyclable and environmentally friendly. Dimensions and design according to customer requirements, available in millimetre increments and from a quantity of one item. We stock coated aluminium profiles and sheet metal in the current colours of basic motorhomes. The range of system solutions we offer perfectly meet customer conditions and requirements. Due to our existing machinery, new and additional tools usually do not have to be installed.
Mounting instructions and a wide range of installation material for different wall thicknesses are available from stock. We give a binding guarantee not to make customer-specific serial parts available on the retail market. We sell exclusively to the respective customer.
With the existing Solid Edge CAD application software, the most common data formats such as DWG, DXF, IGES, STEP etc. can be read and generated.

History
- Founded as MEKUWA GmbH in Mörfelden-Walldorf in 1972.
- Active shareholders and managing directors - Otmar Walter, Horst Zahn und Walter Zirnig.
- In 1976, acquisition of a plot of land and building of a new production facility in Mörfelden-Walldorf.
- In 1977, relocation of the company and start of the new production facility.
- Production of construction window systems, caravan windows as well as flaps for caravans.
- New development of window systems, window stays, fittings and door systems.
- Filing of patents and patent protection for various systems and individual components.
- Expansion of business activities and of the product range to include systems for motorhomes.
- Development of replacement systems for windows for standard box-type vans/transporters.
- In 1992, expansion of production floors and office space to double their size.
- Development of a patented single-handed operation and central locking for hinged windows.
- Development of insulating glass window systems for top quality motorhomes.
- Expansion of the fields of business in the motorhome sector, increase in permanent staff to 35 employees.
- Innovative solutions for customer-specific requirements.
- In 2000, generation shift and transfer of overall responsibility to Harald Feistl and Uwe Zahn.
- Quality assurance measures and introduction of a PPS system for individual and series production.

- In 2001, 2008, 2010 and 2016, investment in the purchase of a fully automatic CNC bending machine for extruded aluminium profiles.
- Expansion of the machinery by a CNC portal milling machine in 2014 and an automatic saw in 2017.
- Since 2013, offering apprenticeships for machine operators, fitters and mechatronics technicians.
- Expansion of production floors as of 08/2011 and 02/2017.
- Increase in permanent staff to currently 60 employees.
