Doors and Service Doors for Motorhomes and Caravans

The range of MEKUWA door systems are produced in the highest quality. Easy to install. Long service life thanks to the use of high-quality materials. Produced as lightweight aluminium constructions, thus saving energy and resources.

In general, we can also produce vertically or horizontally split doors, so-called double-leaf doors. Depending on the space available, access openings and doorways can range from comfortable, wide and convenient to doors that are especially wide or handicapped accessible, e.g. suitable for retrofitting wheelchair lifts.

All brands and types available on the market can be used as locking systems.

With our special assembly accessories, the doors can be individually adapted to the respective vehicle or body wall thicknesses.

We can either deliver a complete, ready-to-install door or only a pre-assembled aluminium door frame to match an existing original sidewall cut-out.

In the highest quality version, i.e. completely insulated or cold-bridge-free, the aluminium profiles used are pre-anodised to provide higher protection against road salt and other aggressive environmental influences (such as sea air). Optionally, also all non-insulated doors can be produced with this increased corrosion protection.

For very special applications, further Systems and Model Technologies are available for the construction of doors.

Motorhome and Caravan Doors - Door System Insulated, Model Technology 2011

Features of our Motorhome and Caravan Doors - Model Technology 2011:

High-quality insulated motorhome doors, with cold bridge-free aluminium frames, 30-38mm highly compressed and water-repellent Styrofoam filling material and M1 tested motorhome locking system and hinges.
Motorhome doors with M1 tested motorhome locking systems and hinges.Caravan doors with standard caravan locking system.
Custom-made in mm increments. With extending, externally mounted hinge solution, or optically hidden hinge solution, each with 180° opening angle.
Only available with double sealing.
With rounded corners for 82.5mm cut-out radius (our recommendation). We can also produce combined versions such as bends on the upper and 2x 90° corners on the lower edge as well as bevelled corners.
All doors only available in flat design, without thermoformed part inside, without window and without fly screen.

Special features:

Sidewall cut-outs, exterior panels and interior decors provided by the customer free of charge can be used in production.

Features of our Motorhome and Caravan Doors - Model Technology 2000:

Motorhome doors with M1 tested motorhome locking systems and hinges. Caravan doors with standard caravan locking system.
Custom made in mm increments. With standard or optically hidden hinge solution, each with 180° opening angle.
Can be produced either with single sealing system, with additional splash water protection or also with an outer fully functional second sealing system.
With rounded corners for 82.5mm cut-out radius (our recommendation). We can also produce combined versions such as bends on the upper and 2x 90° corners on the lower edge as well as bevelled corners.
Divided and handicapped accessible versions, other geometric shapes, and slightly curved door versions can also be produced.
All doors only available without fly screen. Optionally, an aluminium frame window can be installed.

Special features:

Sidewall cut-outs, exterior panels and interior decors provided by the customer free of charge can be used in production.

Service Door System Insulated, Model Technology 2011

Features of our Service Doors - Model Technology 2011:

High-quality insulated service doors, with cold bridge-free aluminium frames, 30-38mm highly compressed and water-repellent Styrofoam filling material and standard locking system.
Optionally with simple push & turn lock, push & turn compression lock or also with recessed grip lock.
Custom made in mm increments. With extending, externally mounted hinge solution, or optically hidden hinge solution, each with 180° opening angle.
Only available with double sealing.
With rounded corners for 82.5mm cut-out radius (our recommendation). We can also produce combined versions such as bends on the upper and 2x 90° corners on the lower edge as well as bevelled corners.
Perfectly suited for thick (insulated) side walls > 38mm.

Special features:

Sidewall cut-outs, exterior panels and interior decors provided by the customer free of charge can be used in production.
Cable ducts for retrofitting connections for central locking systems, etc. as well as mounting plates in form of inserts can also be designed and installed.
Alternatively, pre-assembled aluminium frames to be used with existing side wall cut-outs can be provided in addition to this ready-to-install version.

Service doors with standard door and flap locks. Optionally with simple push & turn lock, push & turn compression lock or also with recessed grip lock.
Custom made in mm increments. With standard or optically hidden hinge solution, each with 180° opening angle.
Can be produced either with single sealing system, with additional splash water protection or also with an outer fully functional second sealing system.
With rounded corners for 82.5mm cut-out radius (our recommendation). We can also produce combined versions such as bends on the upper and 2x 90° corners on the lower edge as well as bevelled corners.
Service doors sloping inwards to match e.g. the vehicle double floor can be produced to customer specification.

Special features:

Sidewall cut-outs, exterior panels and interior decors provided by the customer free of charge can be used in production.
Cable ducts for retrofitting connections for central locking systems, etc. as well as mounting plates in form of inserts can also be designed and installed.
Alternatively, pre-assembled aluminium frames to be used with existing side wall cut-outs can be provided in addition to this ready-to-install version.
